Time is divided into four ages –  Krita Yuga ,  Treta Yuga ,  Dvapara Yuga  and  Kali Yuga  – collectively forming one  Maha Yuga . Seventy-one Mahayugas form a  Manvantara , a period of time over which a  Manu  presides. In each cycle, this Manu is the first man and also the first king and lawgiver. Modelling Behavior of Crowds

There have been two books famous in USA on the behavior of the crowds 1.The Wisdom of the crowds 2.The Madness/Foolishness of Crowds

The Wisdom of Crowds illustrates an old principle that the collective wisdom, knowledge and expertise in a group is always greater than the wisdom, knowledge and expertise of a single individual and this same point is illustrated by giving a number of examples from the World History especially USA history,

Similar the book called foolishness of the crowd talks about the crowd behavior and the weaknesses that are present like Group ism,Bullying,Rule of Majority,Sheep like behavior of crowds, foolishness of the majority people will become foolishness of the nation and also talks about how by effective articulation and by fanning the differences the crowd can be instigated to create riots, violence thus disturbing public and the shared weaknesses and prejudices become the nation's prejudice.

The principle of the Normal distribution in Statistics is something happens in the nature and is applicable when modelling the crowd behavior. In London School of Economics and Political Science there is a device where if you pour small balls randomly they always arrange themselves into a natural normal distribution thus proving that nature itself follows this principle and thus most items in nature do exhibit this phenomenon. In the Normal distribution 68.27% of the population will fall within 1 standard deviation from the mean and 95% will fall in the 2 standard deviations from the mean and 99.7% are within 3 standard deviations from the mean. This same principle applies to the crowd behavior as only 5%  of the population which is 2 standard deviations away comprise of truly criminals and truly righteous people willing to fight against the criminals under any circumstances and based on who wins this fight the remaining population will get swayed or forced to follow the principles of the winners.

The normal distribution can be considered as a population in which 50% have evil dominating their lives and 50% have divinity dominating their lives while 2.5% of this population on the negative side could be considered as truly demoniac and 2.5% on the positive side can be considered as truly divine or true warriors and the fight between the good and the bad will sway the remaining population which is like Sheep to follow the leader who is the winner from this war of fortune and might and right.

Modus Operandi of Factionalism in Rayalaseema-Extract from Shodganga

III. FACTIONALISM: HISTORICAL AND SOCIO ECONOMIC ORIGINS  This chapter attempts to analyse the nature of factionalism and the reasons as to why it is fraught with culture of violence in the Rayalaseema region and also to trace the growth of factions in Kurnool district from pre-independence to postindependence period. The present scenario indicates that the armed factional culture is prevailing in the three districts, Kurnool, Cuddapah and Anantapur of Rayalaseema. While landed disputes, conflicts for personal prestige and dominance characterise the politics in the state, it is in Rayalaseema that they lead to murders and counter murders as the factions are armed factions. To this issue people mythically remark that the 'soil' of Rayalaseema is known for such behaviour and its water nourishes it. They also attribute it to the "water" of rivers like Kundu and Handri' . The other question as to why in Rayalaseema in general and specifically in Kurnool district,...
