Pity State of Banking in India

Image result for banking in india
Demonetization was a strategic move and a public policy decision and also a political decision that the Central Government ruled by BJP party has made so that the fake currency circulation in India can be stopped and funding of terror activities and riots in Kashmir can be controlled. It was also intended to unearth the black money that the current economy in India holds.Black Money is a significant portion of the Indian economy and often funds some small businesses and in the earlier days used to fund the film industry too in India. As per Vohra Report Many public officials, politicians, businessman, law enforcement officials  hold huge amounts of black money in cash, real estate, gold, foreign bank accounts and assets in foreign countries under the name of someone else whom they can trust and the name given to such people in India is Benami.

The government has brought the Benami Transactions Prohibition Act ,Know Your customer Act ,Bankruptcy Laws and also the Corruption Prohibition Acts and there are various departmental agencies which are also employed to take care of these activities like CBI,Revenue Intelligence Department,Anti Corruption Bureau,Enforecment Directorate,Central Vigilance Commission and also the Central Auditor General of India but when it comes to implementation of stopping the corruption none of these agencies have been able to stop the rampant corruption in various spheres of the Indian economy. There is wide scale corruption in the Indian Political landscape,Administrative landscape, law enforcement landscape and even in Media and now the banking industry has come into this vicious circle and criminal nexus.

There is  collusion between political persons, law enforcement officials, criminals and various criminal activities are done and do not come to light in India as per Vohra commission report. The few which come to light carry the news papers headlines.Yesterday the case of Nirav Modi taking Rs.11000 crores of bank loans and leaving the country is a classic example that explains the pitiable state of the Indian Banking Industry and the nexus that exists and it is a new development that the banking industry has also joined this criminal nexus.Letter of Undertaking were given to the Geetanjali firm which Nirav Modi owns and based on which other banks have given huge loans to the firm.Similar is the case with Vijay Mallya who took Rs.6000 crores from various banks and has left the country and is in UK now.Similar is the case with Deccan Chronicle Holdings Private Limited company owners Venkat Ram Reddy and Ravi Reddy amounting to Rs.1230 crores of loan default.

During the demonetization some old currency 500,1000 notes were banned by Government of India and new 500,2000 currency notes were introduced. The extent of corruption can be understood from the classic case of arrest of Mining Baron Sekhar Reddy with 24 crores of new 2000 notes while common man is standing in line before the  bank ATM's  and there are boards that there is no currency available. In India when a common man approaches the bank for a loan for 2-4 lakhs most of them are denied the loan even though there is a law that every person in India should be given atleast 4 lakhs of loan without any collateral but it is not implemented.Post Demonetization Tax officials uncovered Rs.2600 crores of black money in India.Still the black money in Swiss Banks and Tax Havens like Mauritius is not unearthed and most of the black money has changed to White money by the conversion of Old currency notes to New currency notes for a commission by various banking employees,by buying gold from the old black money and producing fake bills by the Gold jewelry shops and some politicians also have distributed small amounts of money as loan  to other people so that they can deposit in their bank accounts  and the politician can later take his money back and make it white money,Many companies also produced fake increase in revenues and made some black money into white money and there are few companies running in India specifically for this purpose.Sahara case is a  classic example of how black money can hidden and a enterprise created out of it,Some people have flown their money in planes to Tribal locations to make black money into White in private planes because the tribal people are not taxed in India.I think a new law called Know Your Employee has to be implemented by the Government so that this rampant collusion and criminal enterprise can be stopped.

The farmer loans are waived by major political parties and they use this as poll plank to win votes. In 2017 the farmer loans which cannot be paid stand at a whopping 60000 crores rupees and instead of looking for the root cause of the problem and trying to resolve the root cause problem the loans are waived every year by most of the political parties to win votes which promotes financial reckless among the farmer community and a system which penalizes the hard working and financially prudent farmers while rewarding the financially reckless farmers.

The amount of Non Performing Assets in the Indian Banking Industry stand as below
1.SBI- Rs.20,339 crores 2.PNB-Rs.9205 crores 3.BOI- Rs.7346 crores 4.Canara Bank - Rs.5545 crores 6.BOB- Rs.4348 crores 7.Corporation Bank - Rs.3574 crores 8.IOB-Rs.3066 crores 9.IDBI bank- Rs.2868 crores.

The bank losses stand as 1.SBI- Rs.2416 crores 2.BOI- Rs.2341 crores 3.Allahabad Bank-Rs.1264 crores 4.UCO bank - Rs.Rs.1016 crores 5.Corporation Bank- Rs.1240 crores 6.Andhra Bank- Rs.532 crores 7.Syndicate Bank - Rs.870 crores 8.Dena Bank - Rs.380 crores 9.Central Bank of India-Rs.1664 crores 10.Oriental Bank of Commerce -Rs.1969 crores 11.Indian Overseas Bank - Rs.971 crores 12.United Bank of India - Rs.638 crores.

One wonders in a country which is considered as the spiritual capital of the world where spirituality is so widely adopted and believed by looking at the sheer number of temples, pilgrimage centers and places in the country and where classical books like Ramayana and Mahabharata have been written and also where great freedom fighters like Subhash Chandra Bose,Gandhi,Chandra Sekhar Azad ,Bhagat Singh are born and where soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country like Somendra Sharma,Albert Ekka,Nirmal Jit Sekhon,Abdul Hamid and many more are born and where great and sacred rivers like Ganga,Yamuna ,Godavari flow and where Great Emperors like Bharat,Sivaji,Krishna Deva Raya and many more are born makes us wonder about the pity state of the current affairs in India.

The lesson is if Good people keep quiet when Evil surfaces and tries to dominate the earth then people have to face the consequences of living under the Evil people ruling them. The virtuous cycle propagated by Good people has to overcome the vicious cycle that few wicked and evil people try to propagate. The values people carry play a major role in the virtuous cycle to win this war against the vicious cycle. If the society has social, ethical, moral, cultural, spiritual values then only the society can move forward towards progress otherwise few people would have all the resources in the world while most people languish in poverty.

Faction Story of Anantapur

The killing of warlord Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy alias Maddelachervu Suri here brought an end to the chilling factional feud and a bloody saga of revenge between two families of Andhra Pradesh'? Anantapur district which Ram Gopal Varma turned into a movie 'Rakta Charitra'. Two generations have been brutally eliminated in the nearly four-decade long fight between the families of Suri and Paritala Ravi. Except one brother of Suri, who died in a road accident, all other family members of the two warlords were murdered by rivals in the most brutal fashion. Suri, the key accused in the murder of former Andhra Pradesh minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Paritala Ravi and in the killing of 26 people in the 1997 bomb blast in Hyderabad, was the last family member of his generation to fall to bullets. It was an end that was not unexpected even for Suri. Ever since he was released from prison in December 2009, the 39-year-old Suri always feared for his life. 'Facti...

The Story of Vijayawada- An Article from Andhrastoriesblogspot.in

Vijayawada…..What is so special in this name?  it’s a great railway junction. It has a living river flowing by its side. It has given India its national flag. It was a place where great leaders who played a crucial role in the Indian independence struggle were born.It has one of the shakti peetas.  It has one of the biggest bus-terminals in the world.  It has the most comfortable weather , an all-time spring scenario. It is a center for education. It is the place where the leaders of the cinema industry were mentored. To put it in one sentence “It is the place where people think!” On the other hand it is that place in India which is only next to Mumbai in terms of rowdy sheets. It is the place rowdies have ruled for decades. It is the place where a girl who steps outside the house is so insecure.  Apart from rowdy history which Ram Gopal Varma is portraying there is the other dark side. It has become a fashion to kill in the name of love. And all started here...
