Extract from Wikipedia Brahmanical Tradition Cosmogony and the Antediluvian history [ edit ] According to the Vedic traditions, human history proceeds in cycles, dependent on the evolutions and dissolutions of the world. Time is divided into four ages –  Krita Yuga ,  Treta Yuga ,  Dvapara Yuga  and  Kali Yuga  – collectively forming one  Maha Yuga . Seventy-one Mahayugas form a  Manvantara , a period of time over which a  Manu  presides. In each cycle, this Manu is the first man and also the first king and lawgiver. Every Manvantara has its own set of  Indra , gods and seven sages. Fourteen Manvantara create a  Kalpa (aeon) , after which the creation comes to a close in a periodical destruction called  Pralaya . The concept of Influence is a prime function in the study of leadership and Strategy.Influence is the ability to make things happen by rallying people around the issue.It also refers the network and connections with top level people in various departments,industries and social groups and few people have these connections and use them to gain leadership positions in the political,business and various arenas. Influence can be used in a positive way to do something good to the society and it can also be used in a negative way to do criminal activities and to establish armed warlord culture.The influence stems from something the party possess like Charismatic speech making or public speaking skill,Administrative skill,Management Skill,Muscle power,Money Power,Beauty,Intelligence,Mob Power,Daring Attitude,Luck and blessings from God.

The positive influential person generally involves in doing something good for the society and something the society desperately needs in times of despair and they have a never say die attitude and very good diplomatic and speaking skills and thorough knowledge on the topic and the issue they are trying to resolve and the various solutions that can resolve the issue and they use influence to get things done in times of despair.There are various examples of people like Vinobha Bhave,Gandhi and Subhas Chandra Bose who influenced the society to donate lands,to make people socially and politically conscious and to revolt against the aggressors and armed warlords.They are all bound by certain values that bind them together and alliances are formed like marriages also to influence people.Generally a personal benefit is offered but also it is linked to a social benefit.The culture that prevails in such groups of people is of trust based on the values that binds them and it is not fear that binds then but love and mutual respect that binds them together in their pursuit of goals.Generally Virtuous cycle is propagted by this social group of people in the society.

The negative influential person generally involves in doing something that is illegal,unethical and is harmful to the society by developing contacts with a network of people in various arenas like police,administration,judiciary,politics,media etc.He uses his muscle power and money power to gain these contacts and uses them to suppress his rivals,eliminate his rivals and also create a terror culture of fear among his followers if someone tries to be disloyal to him or do harm to him by engaging in treachery,sabotage,malicious plots.They involve in using their connections in spreading false information and malicious accusations in causing harm to their rivals and also to the followers if they rebel against them.These group of people generally involve in spreading a vicious cycle in the society.
They involve in the profitable business of Settlements and take a percentage of money out of the settlement amount and resolve the problem between two parties by using their money power and muscle power and the network they have.They resort to kill people who rebel against them and employ intelligence on their own followers and also make sure there are differences and enmity and competition between the various groups of followers and employ one group against other group when one group try to show dominance or has rebelled against them.They also use the influence in giving good posts or positions to those who bribe them or who are loyal to them or who belong to their caste group and generally take money for lobbying for various postings and positions in various departments and industries in the political arena and administration arena.
